Winners take home a hamper

THERE were 72 ladies on the tees at Broadwy Golf Club for the ladies traditional pre-Christmas Hamper Run.

The competition was instigated five years ago by past captain Denise Parker and has been run by her every year since.

In sunny but cold and crisp conditions, the contestants competed in a Stableford Competition off full handicap over nine holes.

The event was divided into four divisions according to handicaps to enable a spread of prizes over all skill levels with the successful players in each category receiving a Christmas hamper.
