Two in court over Broadway burglary

A 31-YEAR-OLD man and a 17-year-old youth have appeared in court charged with a burglary in Broadway.
Michael Maughan and the youth, who cannot be named, both from Birmingham, are accused of distracting a 91-year-old woman at her home in the village on Wednesday, November 5.
Maughan, is also charged with dangerous driving and driving with no insurance, alleged to have taken place on the same date, plus a charge of criminal damage.
He was remanded in custody until tomorrow (Tues) and the youth was released on conditional bail until February 9 2009 when he will appear at thecrown court.
