PERSHORE College is holding two open events to help people find out about the courses it offers.

Visitors can learn about short, skills-boosting courses starting from January and full and part-time courses starting next autumn.

The open events are on Wednesday, December 3, from 4pm to 7pm and Saturday, January 24, from 10am to 1pm. A previously announced event on Saturday, November 15, has been cancelled.

Pershore College specialises in horticulture, floristry, sport, animal care, food and car mechanics.

There be details of Birmingham Nature Centre and Kings Heath Park courses and information on student grants.

College spokesman Julie Chamberlain said: “Apprenticeships are available to school leavers and also now to older people wanting to work and learn at the same time.

“The open events are a good opportunity to find out about them.”
