Two hurt in Pershore crash

TWO men were injured - one of them seriously - after a collision between a car and a minibus at the weekend.

Ambulance crews were called to Defford Road in Pershore shortly before 8pm on Friday evening.

A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, an emergency care practitioner and two ambulance crews attended.

West Midlands Ambulance spokesman Chris Kowalik said: “A car and a minibus had collided and both had left the carriageway.

“The driver of the car, a 30-year-old man, was trapped in his damaged vehicle for about an hour.

“He was cut free by fire crews under the supervision of ambulance personnel.

“He had multiple leg fractures and a shoulder injury and was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital which had been put on alert.

“The minibus driver, a man in his 60s, was suffering from abdominal pain. He was also take to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”
