Driver killed in Cookhill accident
11:45am Tuesday 26th August 2008
POLICE in south Worcestershire have appealed for witnesses after a car crash which left one man dead.
The accident, involving a blue Ford Ka and a silver Ford Mondeo, occurred on the A441 Evesham Road at Cookhill near the junction with Church Lane, shourtly after 9.30am on Friday.
The driver of the Ford Ka was taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch where he later died of his injuries on Sunday.
The Worcestershire coroner Geraint Williams has been informed and a post mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow. (Aug 27).
Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles being driven before the accident is asked to contact police on 08457 444 888.
